Hybrid Mattresses
Most hybrid mattresses are designed to enable carers to increase or decrease the treatment of patients by either adding or removing a pump. This offers a greater flexibility when caring for individuals that could become at risk of a pressure ulcer. Other Hybrid mattresses like the Acclaim Flow use a system of Air Flow technology where cells contain valves that allow air to move in and out independently, determined by the patients weight distribution.
This means that users can benefit from the high level of comfort that foam offers, coupled with the pressure relieving abilities of an active/alternating mattress when needed.
